Khristine Jones is a long time practitioner of yoga and meditation, whose roots are from the teachings of India and has been taught from the lineages of Bhakti, Ashtanga and Vedic philosophy . She teaches from a place of tradition and has the ability to see and meet each student where they are at with accessibility, humor and deep reverence for the teachings. She believes teaching yoga is an honor , a privilege and is dedicated to the liberation of all beings. Khristine is the owner of 9th Limb Yoga Shala in Morro Bay California, She found yoga as a way of self care in 2006, when she had been a social worker and was feeling burnt out. The profound insights and awareness gave her tools for life off the mat and shifted how she could serve different communities. Yoga gives her a way to take care of herself physically, mentally and spiritually and to find a deeper connection to herself and the world. She believes that yoga and meditation practices can shift our perspective of how we show up for ourselves , our communities and the world at large.

Local personal Chef Courtney Carden has been serving the community for 25 years. Cooking high quality healthy vegetable forward meals with a specialty in seafood.

About Kelpful

We’re a small worker owned cooperative run by women who began with a dream of farming seaweed. We say “This is What Climate Resilience Tastes Like” because seaweed embodies the qualities of a climate resilient resource- it is abundant, renewable, fast growing, and needs no fresh water or fertilizer to grow. Seaweed also sequesters carbon and nitrogen, improving the marine ecosystems where it grows! Collectively, our team has spent decades harvesting and using seaweed in our daily lives. This curriculum has taken years to develop which places high priority on the mindful, responsible harvesting methods that we use. We want everyone to enjoy and immerse themselves in seaweed and become stewards of these extremely special places. That is why we are donating 10% of our experience sales to coastal conservation. We put the ocean first in everything we do. It is with great honor, privilege and gratitude that we offer the experiences we do in order to grow our mindful seaweed foraging community.
