MECHANICAL GHOST: Industrial, EBM, and Powernoise from Arroyo Grande, CA. Mechanical Ghost utilizes machine-like beats, crashing metallic sounds, walls of distorted synth, and manic, mangled vocals to construct a vibe akin to a cybernetic meat grinder. Mechanical Ghost's visceral live performance is equal parts cyberpunk horror show and psychological breakdown, and it makes a lot of noise for a one-man act.
FEAR ARTIFICE: EBM / Darkwave from Central California. Fear Artifice is an electronic music duo hailing from Central California. Their sound blends brutal industrial and driving 80’s-EBM beats, combined with the atmospheric electronic melodies of darkwave. Drawing inspiration from horror and sci-fi cinema of the 1980s/1990s, Fear Artifice creates soundscapes that transport listeners to a futuristic, dystopian wasteland.
CLOSER TO DEATH: Darkwave and Post-Punk from Santa Barbara, CA. Closer to Death's sound is a dark blend of electronic beats, vintage synth, jangling guitar, and intimate vocals; assembled to create an old-meets-new sound that hearkens back to the darkest days of goth rock.
TAROT DE MARSEILLES: Instrumental Synthwave from Bakersfield, CA. Tarot de Marseilles is an experimental synth duo from Bakersfield, California who have produced two albums drenched in lofi nostalgia. Dive into the hypnotic world of psychedelic low-fi synth music. Their unique soundscapes will take you on a musical journey like no other.
Plus a DJ set by TRYPTAFIEND: Dark Prog and Dark Techno from San Luis Obispo, CA. From the deep realms of dark progressive styles to the pulsating beats of full-on, twilight, and the enigmatic beyond, Tryptafiend thrives on connecting the diverse subgenres of psychedelic electronic music into one riveting journey. His sonic explorations transcend boundaries, fostering full-spectrum psychedelic rituals that captivate audiences from start to finish.
This show will also feature gothic/horror burlesque performances by J-BIRD and CREIG CHRIST. (Don't forget to bring tips for the burlesque performers!) RHIVOLVER ART will be joining us for a pop-up art shop. BAND MERCH will also be available!
Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the DJ will start spinning right away. The first band starts at 7:00 PM. 21+ only w/ valid ID. Admission is $5 in advance (processing fees apply) and $10 at the door.
