Doc Willis grew up on the mean streets of Detroit. Doc moved to California to get out of the gang life and pursue his dream of acting and performing as a stand-up comedian. Doc's comedy derives mostly from his past where he talks about when he was in a gang, sold drugs, etc... You can see him on Jeff Garlin’s “Handsome: A Netflix Mystery Movie”, Youtube’s “Daddy Knows Best” with Steve Rannazzisi, his voiceover work on Adult Swim’s “The Jellies” with Tyler The Creator. He’s been on the podcasts of Ari Shaffir’s “Skeptic Tank”, “The Church Of What’s Happening Now: with Joey Coco Diaz", “Bad Friends” w/Bobby Lee and Andrew Santino, and his own podcast “La Vida W/Doc Willis.” Doc has become an amazing human being and an absolutely hilarious comedian. Juan Garcia started his career at The Young Age of 16 years at the world famous Laugh Factory Comedy Camp, soon after he gained national recognition on hit shows like Vh1's Baggin, Road Dawgz On SI Tv, Loco Comedy Jam on Galavision, and also being part Of BET's Teens of Comedy Tour and has become one of the most popular comedian in SoCal and quickly growing his fan base with his smart wit and unique incite on the world. Johnny Cardinale began his comedy career at the world famous Comedy Store in Hollywood, CA, where he was spotted by the owner, Mitzi Shore, and given weekly spots on her line-up alongside comedians such as: Carlos Mencia, Chris Rock, Joe Rogan, to name a few. Johnny's act observes a lot of absurdities in life and revolves around his family. Johnny also brings his guitar to poke fun at the music industry and has the ability to sound like seemingly any musical artist. Johnny's act is mostly clean and upbeat.

Taquita Love has comedy in her genes. She is the cousin Jay Washington, one of our previous SLOFunny Hosts. Hailing from Chicago, IL, Taquita is just what the doctor ordered. With her expertise as a Registered Nurse, she prescribes and administers comedic relief for the soul through stand-up comedy, motivational speaking and storytelling. Taquita has been featured on Funny or Die and Laughs on FOX. The former graduate of Second City LA, and UCB LA ( Improv and Sketch Writing) takes you on a journey into her world exposing her perspective on life as a nurse and growing up in a household with a mom in recovery. Her brilliant style of storytelling and play on words will leave you with withdrawals. She's not your average Nurse. She is not your average Comedian. She is just what the Doctor Ordered!

Headliner John Wynn

John Wynn is known throughout the comedy world as The Funny Asian. He is coming to us fresh off his win at last years World Series of Comedy. John is a college professor turned comedian. He asks audiences to look at life through his charmingly skewed perspective. His quick wit and clever jokes have gotten John out of many awkward situations, for example, employment as a college professor. Named Miami New Times’ Best Comedian, John was also the Miami Dolphins’ Official Comedian, though he was not as funny as their season record. John has performed at the Laughing Skull Festival, the SLO Comedy Festival and was a semi-finalist for NBC’s Stand Up for Diversity. His comedy can be seen on Hulu and can be heard on Raw Dog Comedy on Sirius XM radio. John is absolutely hilarious and the best choice to round out our amazing lineup this month.
