Event Summary

Hello folks - from Brynn Albanese
, founder and director of Cambria Concerts Unplugged!

If there is anyone that can bring us straight home from anywhere that we are during the holiday season, it is Mr. Louie Ortega.

Warmth, honesty, and sincerity just permeate from this man. His songwriting touches us... It moves us... If there is ever going to be a more special Cambria Christmas Concert season, it will be this one.

After 20 years of being at the Old Santa Rosa Chapel, music will travel anywhere. And now we are so grateful and excited to be at St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Eton road in Cambria. This will be a 75 minute show!
He will be joined by his daughter, Talia Ortega flute/vocals, Dean Giles, drums and Greg Smith, baritone sax (he is formerly of the "Eagles")
Their formal name is The Bunkhouse Band.

We are going to celebrate being together like no other time.
There are only THREE shows, so do not wait to purchase tickets!

Here are some reviews about Mr. Ortega:

"He’s got a hauntingly sweet voice, the perfect vehicle for his smartly written songs about love and life...  Im giving this CD my highest recommendation. It hasn't left my CD prayer since I got it. Run, don’t walk to the nearest record store and pick up your copy. "

The arrangements have more chardonnay sweetness than salsa bite, but Ortega’s smoky, soulful vocals save the album from slickness, and his writing reflects superior craftsmanship. Opening the album is "County Line"‘, a song the Sir Douglas Quintet borrowed as a highlight of its recent reunion album.

Talia Ortega and her Father have a delightful album called, "Ruby" that you can sneak peek at right here: https://www.louieortega.net/discography

Footnotes: "My daughter and I are very excited to announce the release of our new CD "RUBY"!!!! We’re extremely grateful for everyone’s effort in making this dream a reality."

Brynn Albanese and Eric Williams will also be joining the fun!
