Refund Policy

Because this is a FREE EVENT, registrations are non-refundable. If you have to cancel, please contact us via email at accessibilitytraining2024@santabarbaraca.gov

Item Transfer Policy

If this event allows ticket transfers, you can transfer tickets to someone else by going into your confirmation email > View & Manage Order > Edit Ticket Info / Transfer. 

From there, you can change the name on the ticket & email it to the transferred person.

During the forums, John will discuss the following:

 

  • What accessibility laws apply to businesses?
  • What elements of a business must be accessible to the disabled?
  • What is the potential liability if a business does not comply?
  • What about accessibility for outdoor dining in the right of way?
  • What are the most common violations alleged in accessibility lawsuits?
  • How can I get my business evaluated?
  • What are the changes in 2024 to the California Building Code regarding disabled access and how will they affect my business?
  • A Question & Answer period will be allotted.


Who Should Attend: Geared toward business operators and owners, the workshops would also benefit architects, designers, contractors, and those interested in accessibility laws.

Two sessions are provided to accommodate varying schedules. The same information will be presented in each session.

Morning Session: 8:30am-12:00pm 
Afternoon Session: 1:00pm-4:30pm
