THE GARDENS

1)   2626 San Ricardo Lane,  LOS OSOS

West on Los Osos Valley Road, left on Rodman, right on Madera, left San Ricardo

Rosemary and Ken Delfino cultivate native plants and succulents on their large property. Ken has a greenhouse and vegetable garden as well as growing his grandmother’s precious 100-year-old red double-petaled poppies, with seeds that have been carefully saved from year to year. Rosemary enjoys her lovely Mediterranean patio where colorful plants thrive in artistic pots. Guests are welcome to sit and enjoy stunning views of the bay.

2)   1925 Andre Street,  LOS OSOS

From South Bay Boulevard turn east on Nipomo, right on Andre (garden at corner)

Marcia Page and her husband Larry Bender are a whirlwind of creativity. Their large property is a wonderland filled with special horticultural and garden art effects popping up everywhere. They even built a stage where Marcia and friends enjoy performing. On garden tour day from 12-5pm we’ll be treated to blues by The Melvin and Brucifer Show—blues duo Michael Melchione and Bruce Willard.

3)   845 Ridgeway Street,  MORRO BAY

From Main Street or Morro Bay Boulevard, turn on Kern, then west on Ridgeway

Upon retiring from Vermont, Helen Torino and her husband built a lovely home in Morro Bay and have enjoyed filling their garden with succulents and other temperate climate cultivars. Helen is also a talented mosaic artist and stays busy making colorful and charming mosaics which are dispersed throughout the landscape.

4)   1749 Toro Creek Road,  MORRO BAY

From Highway 1 turn on Toro Creek Road, drive about 3.2 miles, garden on left

In the hills behind Cayucos, Joan and Alec Garcia have transformed their ranch style setting into an exquisitely landscaped entertainment venue with many personalized touches where family and friends of all ages come to gather and enjoy the great outdoors. Their grandchildren have requested the opportunity to sell their very special lemonade on garden tour day.
